What I'm Crushing On

Valentine's Day got me thinking...
What am I crushing on right now?

1. Eucerin Aquaphor. I originally bought this to help heal my tattoo, but then thought, hmmm, I wonder if this will help my super dry winter legs. And it does! I have been using it daily to keep my gams soft.
2. Tarte Lip Surgence in Charmed. LOVE. It simply tints your lips and keeps them fresh.
3. Minnetonka Moccasin. I got these for Christmas and can't stop wearing them. They are incredibly comfy and have good tread for those slippery snow days. If you plan on trying them out for yourself, be sure to purchase the size down from what you normally wear. They stretch! I normally wear 8.5 and got the 8. I might have even been able to get away with a 7.5.
4. Betty Crocker gluten free chocolate chip cookie mix. Seriously yummy.  Now that I've gone 99% gluten free I rarely have baked treats. And the baked gluten free treats I have had I do not like. BLAH. And then I discovered my dear Betty's mix. You can't even tell it's gluten free and that 100% for me!

What are you crushing on?

My Stylist Said What?

I LOVE volume in my hair. The bigger the better. I probably should live in Texas where it's perfectly acceptable to have BIG HAIR. I back-comb/tease my hair at the crown almost every day. And I've been doing so since I was 14. I'm 32 now. You do the math. I've got this down to a science.

So you can imagine my horror when my stylist told me last week that I have to cut down on all this back-combing business.  WHAT? LADY, YOU CRAZY. I have to have flat hair? She said I have to do it for the health of my hair.  My top layer of hair is damaged and needs to get all healthy again. Crap.

So I hid my comb.  And you know what... I never thought I could last this long, but it has been a solid week without back-combing. And I'm learning to embrace flatter hair.

But then I see a picture like this and go... Oh, Yes, Please! Do you see all that volume! I bet she's not even wearing a Bump-It.  Now, where did I hide that dang comb?
