Nelson Family Camp

Last year our family started a new tradition:
Nelson Family Camp~ Adults Only.

This year we did a simple overnighter.

Pictures don't lie. Rumor has it that Mister is the cook in this relationship.  Mom captured it on film.

We do skits every year.  Dave/Shonte and Cathy/Jason and Holly helped with our skit this year.  It was our rendition of "Hello Mudda, Hello Father."  Growing up we heard this song all the time. Those are Dave's legs and Shonte's body and Cathy's legs and Jason's body.

Dad and I having an in-depth conversation about raccoons and how NOT to get eaten by them.

Playing SkipBo ~ a classic game in our family.

Love my sisters!

I love my family!

Thanksgiving 2012

It was just a typical Thanksgiving...

wearing sweatpants.  New tradition? I think so!  Mom and Dad were in Cali, so we bummed it at Cathy's.

The weekend before Thanksgiving we headed to St. George.  Mister's whole family came to town for it.  The entire family hasn't been together probably since Dad and Carrie got married a few years ago.

The boys wanted to golf Thanksgiving morning. Might as well tag along! The weather was gorgeous.
Coral Canyon

Hmm... One of these things doesn't look like the others... And yes, I have had many golf lessons. Can't tell can you? ha.

All in all, a pretty successful double Thanksgiving!

Mister's Family

Over Thanksgiving we got new family pictures with Mister's family.  This is my favorite group shot.

And just so you know... I've got a crush on Grandpa. Is it obvious?

Nostalgia = Lightbulb

My sweet grandma gave Mister and I a very unique present for Christmas.  It was a bunch of blue and pink laminated cards that had pictures of my ancestors with a few details on them.  To her it was a way to try and get me (and the rest of my siblings/cousins) to learn about where we come from and appreciate it.  To me it became my creative lightbulb.  Those simple cards got me thinking about things I love about going to my grandma's house. And then the lightbulb turned on.  I am so excited to create this new item because to me it's comes from a memory of something good.  So stay tuned. I'm hoping to have it done and showcased to you by Sunday night.

Luckily it does not involve my Brother. No sewing my finger today!

Dad

Happy Birthday to the best Dad!  This is my favorite picture of my Dad this year.  He had no idea we were taking it and there is just something incredibly sweet about it. I love it.
